Avatar

Avatar was the best movies of that year, maybe of the decade. The movie is about a ex marine who gets a chance to walk again through a alien body, called an Avatar. It is his job to gain his trust of the natives so that a greedy corporation can steal the precious metal from lush moon. Jake must choose between his new found place with the natives and his own race and fight for what he believes in. We could complain of how long the movie is, and the weak story and weak dialogue. Cameron is also pushing the envelope with truly photo-real CG, something that which has been promised for years but has finallly been delivered with Avatar. Avatar is an important film from technical standpoint but it is also great entertaiment. The world of pandora is a stunning spectacle from scene to scene and as jake learns more about the Nav'vi the film approaches the kind of light hearted adventure story which has been abscent from movie theatres for years. Then the final act explodes into traged and desperate action, with the final half hour a blistering life or death struggle that has to be seen to be disbelieved. Over the coming days you will be hearing a lot about Avatar.

It was based on survival, the book was on the experiences of Scarlett O' Hara a spoiled daughter.
Describe a scene from the movie that you found memorable?
I liked the library scene where Scarlett says how much he loves the guy,but the guy rejects her. So she just slaps him in the face randomly. Then Rhetta just pops out saying she can do so much better then asking for that guys love.
What was Scarlett's drink of choice?
whiskey.
What color was Scarlett's dress when she went to vist Rhetta butler in jail?
green.
How was the dress made?
I don't remember.
What is the time period, and date that the film is taking place?
during the Civil war, 1861
Write you favorite quote in the movie, and tell me when it was used?
"Frankly my dear i don't give a damn" it was just and the end of the movie when Rhett leaves her.
If you were telling someone about the movie Gone With the Wind what would you say?
That there's allot of great actor's in the cast i ever seen, they all played the roles well. And shows the horror of the civil war. How they shot the movie was beautiful, and memorable. And how great it looked in color for it's time.

Citizen Kane

It's really hard to tell my views on Citizen Kane, When the generation is way too different then mine. Not because it's old or too boring, but because it has been hailed almost around the world the greatest single motion picture ever made. They say the movie exhilarating, but when i watch the movie, it was a disappointing experience. I'm not saying it's a bad movie, to be honest, I thought everything about it was brilliant. From the great performances to the planned camera movements and clever lighting tricks. There's isn't a single element of Citizen Kane that wasn't amazing achievement in all areas of filmmakeing. Citizen Kane's storyline was simple. Even though the plot unfolds by jumping in and out of nonlinear flashbacks, it was really easy for me to keep track of. The Straightforwardness and relatively fast pace of the story are what make it seem intimidating. Because everything moves smoothly along without any standstill, it feels like were getting played out like there is something much greater that we just seem to grasp. The first time i watch this movie, I knew it from it's reputation that there must be something that 's separates this movie from all the others, something hiding deep within its simple plot line that everybody else has seen, but i just couldn't figure it out. And then, during the final scenes, that something was revealed, and it all began to make sense. To me, it was these moments of confusion and uncertainty followed by sense of enlightenment and appreciation that made watching Citizen Kane such a meanful experience.

Vertigo

I seen most of Hitchcock's movies, but my favorite is Vertigo...It was a really smart movie, if you really watch it closely, and understanding it. It was a true masterpiece. One of Hitchcock's greatest movies.. I really love the Title of the movie, it gets your mind spinning. Pretty much the movie was all about obsession with love, and also about it's title. There was some much about this movie, that Lockhart could of made us write a essay on it. Hitchcock in this movie showed that he was the real thing. He really showed in the movie about ultimate love, and wanting to achieve the ultimate love. And how this stuff really happens, that sometimes never having love turn out to be the way we want it to be. Every actor did amazing. Truly Hitchcock's greatest work.

Notorious

The opening of the movie was dark, and a crazy thriller to give you a little treat. Twisting up everything that you thought about this movie, teaseing us. The plot is ok but the thriller of the movie was better. I think American loves that. Even if the movie had a weird plot, the thriller made it up for the movie. There was alot of sexual tension, And a weird weakling villian with a castrating mother. A cute kiss and a happy ending.

Shadow of a Doubt

Uncle charlie scared me. The whole thing about an evil uncle in family was crazy. And the actor who played Charlie was a perfect charming monster. For me i think Uncle charlie really made the movie great. It was twisted. But at the same time real. And i like the area they shot the movie. Structure of the town, the characters, it was good. And the girl who played as charlie's sister did a great job, you never got bored of watching her. And loved how they shot the scenes. Charlotte eyes really told the whole story from the audience's point of view, even if the audience's is one step ahead of her, Damn that's smart. When You look at the eyes of Uncle charlie you don't know if he really wants redemption or he is full of crap and everyone is going to fall for his master traps. In the middle of the movie, you feel torn just like Charlotte. I was never really a big fan of remakes. But if in the right hands of actor's, Director, and a producer. It can be a really great movie
